You provide the tools, they provide the muscle.
Students provide labor only. They never drive your vehicle or their own vehicle for a job, and they don't bring tools, equipment, or supplies.
That keeps prices low and jobs simple. Each category tells you exactly what to have ready: a truck and dolly for a move, a mower for yard work, tools and hardware for assembly, supplies for cleaning.
What students can help with

Loading and unloading trucks, carrying furniture, in-home rearranging, apartment move-out help.
You provide: Truck, dolly, straps, and moving blankets.
Yard work
Mowing, weeding, leaf cleanup, hedge trimming, planting, snow shoveling.
You provide: Mower, tools, and bags.
Furniture assembly & home tasks
Flat-pack assembly, hanging shelves and curtains, basic mounting.
You provide: Tools and hardware.
Cleaning & general labor
Move-out cleaning, deep cleaning, garage and basement organizing, event setup and teardown, errands on foot.
You provide: Cleaning supplies.

Questions
›Who are the students?
Current BYU students. Every student signs up with an @byu.edu email, confirms it, and submits an application with a photo and a photo of their student ID. We approve every student personally before they can see or quote jobs.
After every job, customers and students review each other, and those reviews show on profiles.
›How much does it cost?
Cougar Hire is free to use. Students quote their own price (a flat price or an hourly rate). You pay the student you choose directly after the job, by cash, Venmo, or however you agree.
›Do students bring tools or a truck?
No. You provide the tools, they provide the muscle. Students provide labor only. They never drive your vehicle or their own vehicle for a job, and they don't bring tools, equipment, or supplies.

›When do we share contact details?
Before you accept a quote, you can message students in the app, but phone numbers, emails, and street addresses stay private. Messages that try to share them aren't delivered.
As soon as you accept a quote, you both see each other's full name and phone number, and the student sees your address.
›What can't I post?
To keep jobs simple and safe for everyone, these aren't allowed: hauling or junk removal; anything requiring a student's vehicle; licensed work (electrical, plumbing, gas); childcare; elder care; pet sitting.
›Where does Cougar Hire work?
Utah County: Provo, Orem, Springville, Spanish Fork, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Vineyard, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, Payson, Mapleton, and Salem.
